WILL I EVER GET PAID TO DO WHAT I LOVE?

Creatives Be Like:
Will I ever earn money from my art?
Will the public see anything I write?
Will representation ever sign me?

And they research to find stats like:
Only the top 15% of union actors make $26,000+ a yearEditors only publish 1 or 2 out of every 100 manuscriptsOf scripts that receive coverage, only 1% get madeAnd people on reddit say getting signed is “impossible”
And they conclude ‘yes’ or ‘no’.
A better justified ‘yes’ or ‘no’…
But still, just a ‘yes’ or a ‘no’.

Real Talk:
Is this you?
And if so, how has ‘yes’ or ‘no’ actually served you?

With all your time, focus, and energy,
what haven’t you googled?
What didn’t you ask your industry friends about?
What actions haven’t you been taking?

Instead of determining whether your dream is probable, start making it inevitable.

Ask yourself:
Who gets to have what you want?
What can you do today to guarantee becoming that person?

I won’t let internet math stop me from cheering you on.

❤️,
Nancy
